M25=1:1:2
one bag cement = 50 Kg
Density of cement=1440
one bag cement =50*1440=0.034 cum
one cum dry volume cement =1.52
total ratio=1+1+2= 4
Dry volume of cement/ Ratio
=1.52/4= 0.38
cement=1*0.38=0.38
require cement in bags=0.38/0.034(1 bag cement volume)
=11.17 bags
Sand=0.38 cum
stone chip=.38*2= 0.76 cum
Note
*The rates may vary depends on location

m 25= 1:1:2.
there ore ratio is 1+1+2=4
we know one cub dry volume is 1.54.
there fore cement require,
1.54*1/4=0.385=11 bags cement for 1 cub m.
sand =0.3858*32.28cft = 12.45 for one cub m.
stone chip 0.77*32.28cft = 24.85 for 1 cub m.

Answer / k v arjuna rao
As per material availability the ratio's of Sand Aggregate
and Cement including admixers calcuted per cum by design
mix.
The quantites of these material is multiplied with existing
rates including Transportation charges we get the Material
cost per Cum.
Then Labour required per cum is calcuted as per CPWD
Standards and multiplied with local labour rates given by
State Govt SSR or CPWD SSR for that area. we get labour
Rate for 1 Cum.
Finally add hire charges of machinery used for mixing and
pumping and placing of concrte, Sunderies, water charges &
Overheads & Profit for contractor on Material rate & labour
rate.
finally we get Rate per Cum.

Say Cement Rate 300 INR
CA 675
FA 650
Labour 275
Mason 650
Miller 1200 Rs/day
Vibrator 300 Rs/day
Tools & cart (single wheel) 750/day
Say as per design mix Cement consumption is 425 kg/cum for M35
For CC at Ground level :
Cement 8.5 bags *300=2550
CA 0.95cum *675=608
FA 0.60 cum *650=390 ( Bulking Qty)
Water 135L*0.10=14
Labours 18*275/25cum/day =198
Mason 2*650/25cum=52
Miller-vibrator-tools 2250/25=90
Contingency 2000/25=80
Total of above =3982 Rs/cum
Cost towards Profit, Royalty, PF, Insurance, Admixtures like Super Plastisizer, Curing Cost etc to be added.

Volume of dry concrete = 1.54 to 1.57 times volume of wet concrete
so,
calculation for 1 cu.m of concrete works:-
summation of ratio of concrete M25(1:1:2) = (1+1+2) = 4
Shrinkage Factor = 1.55 ( Assumed)
so,
Total volume of wet concrete required = 1.55 cu.m
Now,
Volume of cement required = (1/4)* 1.55 = 0.388 cu.m
= (0.388 / 1440) = 558 kg
cement required = (558 / 50) = 11.16 bags
volume of sand required = (1/4) * 1.55 = 0.388 cu.m
volume of Aggregate required = (2/4) * 1.55 = 0.775 cu.m
Therefore, For 1 cu.m of M25(1:1:2) concrete works;
cement required = 11.16 bags
sand required = 0.388 cu.m
Aggregate required = 0.775 cu.m

Cement - 7.2 Bags*280 = 2016
Sand - 0.6 Cum*400 = 240
Aggregate 20mm - 0.9Cum*890=801
Plasticizer - 2.1 Kgs*50=105
P+M - 450/Cum
Total = 3612
Note
*The rates may vary depends on location
*The cement bags 7.2 is as per design mix,it may vary if we
choose hand mix
