M15=1:2:4. for cement concrete. 101â„… right answer
calculate
a. cement. 1×1.54/7=0.22cum×28.8(for bag)=6.33 bags
b. sand 2×1.54/7=0.44 cubic metre
c. aggregate. 4×1.54/7=0.88 cum

calculation for 1:2:4(M15)
take 50%extra for shrinkage/wastage
1+.5=1.5/1+2+4=.214
now, in 1 bag of cement having qty =.0347cum
so,.214/.0347=6.16 no of bags.
for sand,.214x2=.428 cum
for aggregate,.214x4=.856cum
for cft just x35.31

DENSE VOLUME OF 1 M3 OF 1:2:4 m15 Conc.=1.52m3 approx.
Ratio (1+2+4)=7
=1.52/7= 0.22m3 Cement required for 1m3 of conc
Proportion(1:2:4)
1 Part of Cement=( 1x0.22=0.22 m3 Cement required for 1m3)
2 part of sand =(2x0.22= 0.44m3 Sand required for 1m3)
4 Part of aggregate=( 4x0.22=0.88m3 Aggregate for 1m3)
Note: Volume of 1 Bag of Cement = 0.035m3
Hence 0.22m3/ 0.035= 6.28 Bags of cement required for 1m3 of concrete

Cement - 1 Part
Sand - 2 part
Aggregate - 4part
Cement = 1440 x 0.9/4
= 324Kg/m3 or 6.48Bags(324/50).
Sand = 1440 x 0.45/2
= 324kg/m3.
Aggregate = (1.25x4x6.48)/35.315
= 0.917Cu.m

I'm a professional civil engineer, here is a perfect simple method.
Let suppose you have total 100 cft of concret.
1.How to calculate number of cement bags.
=100*1.54/(7*1.25)
2. Amount of sand in cft
=no.s of bags*1.25*2
3. Amount of crush in cft
= amount of sand*2

ratio is 1:2:4 sum is equle 7
1 bag cement is equle to 1.25
total quantity resum is 200 cft
for cement bags ;200 divide bt ratio which is 7 answer is 28.57
than
28.58 multiply by 1 wich is first figure of ratio
than divided by 1.25 which is volume of 1 cement bag
the answer is calkled cement bags
example
cement bags ;200/7=28.57*1/1.25=22.85 bags
for sand 200/7=28.57*2=57.14 cft
for crash 200/7=28.57*4=114.25 cft

Constant of Dry volume /m3 = 1.5
1:2:4 = 1+2+4=7
1.5/7=0.214
1 cum = 1440 kg cement
1440 x 0214 = 308.57 kg

In order to estimate the quantity of loose materials to have
100 cubic feet wet concrete we first multiply the wet
concrete by 1.54.
e.g 100x1.54=154 cubic feet of dry materials we need.
now come to the ratio of concrete which is 1:2:4 so sum of
the ratio will be 1+2+4=7
calculating separately each material:
Cement: 1/7x154 = 22 cubic feet
where 1 bag of cement measured 1.25 cubic feet approx
therefore 22/1.25 = 17.6 bags of cement. 1 bag contains 50kg
cement so total cement by weight we need for 100 cubic feet
concrete = 17.6x50 = 880kgs
sand: 2/7x154 = 44 cubic feet
coarse aggregate: 4/7x154 = 88 cubic feet
