i to p converter(pressure signal to control valve)
air supply(for input to i/p and control valve)
multimeter(miliamp check)
small screw driver(for adjust zero and span)
and check
4ma for 0
8ma for 25%
12ma for 50%
16ma for 75%
20ma for 100%

We can calibrate the Controlvalve by using the mA feeder
(make-DRUCK).while calibrating the I/P using mA calibrator
error occurs adjust Zero and span in the I/P .

Use a current source to calibrate the I/P converter error ,
but if the error was in the valve , calibrate the valve
positioner using Wallace and Tiernan calibration box or for
fast calibration couple a monostat gauge to calibrate and
if both were ok problem lies in the solenoid then check the
supply to it

We can calibrate a control valve by connecting a HART/FF
communicator to the valve and then doing Autocalibration
through the instrument...

Depends upon the valve. Pneumatic calibrator for 0.2to
1.00kg/cm2 Valve.For Electronic positioner( 4-20ma) We can
use Loop calibrator. For Smart type of positioner fixed
valves smart calibrator 275 or 375 or 475(latest) must be
used. Field bus MC5 hand held calibrator can be used.

I work on a electronic positioner transmitter 4211 at the field.I connect my multimeter in series to get the current output then I calibrate it to 4ma in 0% of position of the valve and 20ma in 100% position of the valve.My problem is in the field I get the correct output current based on my multimeter but in the dcs they only receive 40% in a output 20ma of this positioner.Then I try to simulate in this analog card and they receive the equivalent percent on the value that I simulated.Is ther any possibility to reset the zero and span of this positioner 4211 fisher.And what other possibility I can do to fixed this.This is my email add ( landicho_randy@yahoo.com )
