Recruitment and selection are two very different processes in "hiring employees" or filling a vacant spot in your organisation.

Recruitment is getting the right people interestet and applying for the job.

Selection is chosing the right candidate.

Their are various forms of selection methods such as, application forms, telephone interviewing, screening tests, peer assessment, interviewing, online testing and group selection methods.

Most will use more then one selection method when hiring new staff, such as maybe doing a telephone interview before inviting them to the face-to-face interview.
