Recruitment is a process, wheras Selection is a part of
recruitment process. Both are interlinked.
Recruitment process comprises of -
- Gathering the manpower requirement
- Analysing the requirement
- Using the sources of recruitment
- Gathering the resumes and shortlisting in accord to
requirement
- Initial interview
- Shortlisting for personal round & final rounds
- Selection
- Issuing the offer letter
- Completing the documentation process & verification
- Full-filling the joining formalities and posting
Thus, selection happens in the process of recruitment.
