Static Ram are fast, but they come at high cost because their several transistoras. Less expensive ram can be implement if simpler cells are used. However, such cell do not retain their state indefinitely; hence, they are called dynamic RAM

So many answers and so much BS. Go back to school!!
In digital electronics, the term "flip-flop" is a slang
term used when referring to a bistable or two state
transistor. It has two stable states and is capable of
storing one bit of memory. It is also sometimes called a
latch, a gate or just a transistor.
