What is use of 3phase instead of single phase?..

Answer / vilas

As used 3 phase balanced supply ,we get the advantage to
reduce the size of the motor, no need of capacitor ,
getting improved power factor ,constant torque, saving in
copper for winding ,thus redues the costof the motor,

What is use of 3phase instead of single phase?..

Answer / balaji

1.if we use all loads in a single phase voltage drop will be
high.instead of that if we use 3 phase then load will be
shared by each phases ,so voltage drop will be less.
2.we can use 3phase load as well as 1 phase load in 3phase
4wire system.

What is use of 3phase instead of single phase?..

Answer / sunil guru

IN 3-PH COMPARED TO SINGLE PHASE LOSSES ARE LESS..
LARGE POWER IS TRANSMITTED SO THAT A GREATER NEED CAN BE
FULFILLED..
WE CAN TRANSMIT POWER TO A LARGE DISTANCE WITH LESS COST OF
TRANSMISSION AS COMPARED TO SINGLE PHASE.
IN INDUSTRIAL SECTORS THE MACHINERIES AND EQUIPMENTS ARE OF 3-
ph SO 1-PH CANT BE MADE INTO USE...

What is use of 3phase instead of single phase?..

Answer / adisurendra bandi

using of 3 phase instead of 1 phase,we must get advantages in terms of Economic aspect as well as we get very efficient performance than the single phase, because of we are sharing the load on from single phase to 3 phase.

Is This Answer Correct ?    3 Yes 1 No

What is use of 3phase instead of single phase?..

Answer / sivasellam

losses will be reduced.less cost.for long distance it is
used to transmit

What is use of 3phase instead of single phase?..

Answer / sunil parmar

if we can use 3 phase system losses will be reduced, cost will be reduced, load sharing will be equally,so voltage drop less and power quoality should be maintain in distribution and x' mission.

What is use of 3phase instead of single phase?..

Answer / arun

single phase cannot handle heavy loads but 3 phase can handle heavy load .eg single lane highway produce traffic signal but 3 lane highway not produce traffic signal .but in practical when domestic loads consume more than 745 hp 9horse power power so we have to use 3 phase load

What is use of 3phase instead of single phase?..

Answer / abhishek roy

In industries there are large machines are used which is only depend on 3-ø supply.

Is This Answer Correct ?    0 Yes 0 No

What is use of 3phase instead of single phase?..

Answer / any

with 3 phase we can transmit constant power as in case of
single phase power varies sinusoidally,
greater output,
chaper,economy in power transmission
