Because plant and machineries are having inductve loads
like motors,Transformers etc whch are having low lagging
power factor.To reducing the loss due to low power factor
we have to improve the power factor.So we are installing
the capacitor bank for maintaining the KVAR value.

If R and Y terminals are short circuited,then power will cut. we all know that power cannot be stored.what will happen to already generated power at power station?
