# Potasium dichromate in perchloric acid and Halmium oxide
in perchloric acid can be used for calibration.
# But, after calibration it takes long time to get neutral
range ( sinceacidic in nature).
# lot of washing procedure needs to be followed.
# caffeine is water soluble and easily removable.

caffeiene having different wavelents it having 2 maximas
and 1 minima.
1st maxima is 205nm
2nd maxima is 273nm
minima is 245nm
and it is primary reference standard and also suggested in
pharmacopiea. It is easily soluble in water. It shows
complete absorbance at multiwavelength, caffeine easily available in market.

Answer / foestar fernandes. lupin lim
1) Its pharmacopia recomended
2)Highly stable in solution form
3)Its wavelengths are known(2 maximas at 205 and 273 also 1 minima at 245)
4)Cheap and readily available

Answer / raja
The actual thing is, we need to get same absorbence at
differnt wavelength, it is possible only for caffiene
so that we are prefare for HPLC calibration.
and caffiene is available in market.

Answer / surekha
caffiene is available in pure state and it is a primary
standard .

caffine is primary standar recomanded in various
pharmacopia and it shows dual behaviour having different
wavelength 2 maxima 205nm,273nm and minima at 245nm.

In BP2013, Loperamid HCl monograph. Assay by titration with 0.1N sodium hydroxide using hydrocloric acid 0.01N and reading the volume added between the 2 points of inflexion. I have a question that if the diluent solvent is ethanol is certainly consumed a amount of volume of titrant, so this volume must be eliminated on the result calculation or not apart from first point which is subtracted above.
