At first , the synchronous motor is coupled with induction
motor then the synchronous motor will run as a induction
motor and then the d.c supply is given to the field winding
of the synchronous motor ,the rotor will tends to magentic
locking with stator rotating field then that synchronous
motor wii run at synchronous speed

A pony motor is required to rotate and D.C extitation is
also required.Liquified rotary starters are used
