increase in power factor gives reduced current, thus
reduced load, increased frequecy,thus reduced input
consumption per unit power on power plant. for decrease it
will be vice-versa.
For consumers increase in power factor reduces penalty or
reward in the form of decrease in bill.

yes mr sushil you r right, increased p.f reduces current
consumption, but has no effect on frequency. please check
once and let me know if i'm wrng.
