First of all i think this question is objective
.......starter can be DOL direct on line or using auto
transformer

so both can be used.Apart from it all methods in first
answers r right.

motors . they are two types starting capacitor and running
capacitor . starting capacitor is for start of the motor ,
running capacitor is used for high power rating (in
necessary condition it is used )
