A 3 phase motor, 440 voltage, induction motor. If we take
out rotor from motor and if we give supply 440 volt to
stator then what happens?????

Generally the induction motor is called as the Rotating
secondary transformer. The principle of motor is same like
a Transformer. Just review your circuit theory books.
If there is no secondary in the transformer winding, nothing
will happen.
Same like the stator current will be there and no stator
will burn, even for a long period of connection also.

Motor will be overheated and it will burnt out if supply is
fed for a long time.

i have done this practically
nothing happend with motor
it is just nothing but transformer primary without secondary

the motor will not burnt, this is correct any confusion than
wil performed practically ok.

my dear friends practically i was faced this problem.
without rotor equivalent circuit, reactance is ok
BUT THE INCREASE IN AIR GAP DECREASES THE INDUCTANCE OF THE
STATOR WINDING defiantly i will leads to burning within few
minutes.
tks

when the rotor is present then the stator and the rotor combination can be imagined as a transformer. thus the load inductance of the rotor is transfered to the stator increasing the total inductance of the stator. when in low load / no load condition then the slip is very low and hence low power drawn, but as the load is increased and the slip increases the currents increase and produce more torque to reduce the slip and hence finally reduce the power drawn. whereas the design of the motor is carried out in such a way that the stator reactance is maintained low to match the power delivery after accounting for the reflected rotor reactance. thus if the rotor is removed then the reactance is too small and hence will draw a very high current and burn out the stator.

To gajanan,
It will not burn but simply heated as usual , OK.
Check answer of K. Ravichandaran which is right or you can
do practicle with small motor

i think it will burn due to increasing the air gap

once applied the sine wave to stator winding due to coiled
inductance(L)is formed so magnetic field is around the coil
this field selfly produced emf in the same coil this emf to
opposing the main emf so current is always controled. so
nothing happen.

stator winding gets heat for long time supply... its not
get burnt. Actually the winding value i mean ohms value
gets low...
But in a rotating condition of rotor,at that time can we
give supply to statorr? what will happen?
