ECC applicability to R/3 ended when ECC6.0 rolled out. 6.0
is a very different suite, supporting applications of
course but brings to the table Netweaver, PLM+, Business
Intelligence capabilities--Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
If used to full potential, EDW provides awesome reporting
capabilities, ad-hoc query, dashboard, & more. (Make sure
if your tampering with Native SAP, "Z"coded apps, that you
not allow a solution developer to fench off any data mart
developments that support EDW.
