Hi,

No,Sales org is uniquely assigned to one Company code.
The reason for the above is:
Company code is a independent accounting entity. The
balance sheet is created for one Company code.
Now if you take one Sales org, there are expenses and
profit uniquley related to a sales org.
if you a sales org to two different company codes, it is
not legaly possible to share the profit or expense of one
Sales org by two co. codes.

So that is why you assign one sales org only to one Co.
code.

Say for eg:

You have Reliance Infocom and Reliance Petrol as two Co.
codes.You very well know these two Co. Codes would have
seperate balance sheet.

Say for eg Reliance Info North region is a sales org
assigned to Relaince InfoCom..

Now would you say that the profits made by Reliance Info
North can be ebjoyed by Relaince Petrol.. No, right..

So that is why you cannot assign one sales org to two
different company codes.

No, one sales organisation cannot be assigned to multiple
company codes. B'cz Sales organisation is uniquely assigned
to company code.But one or more sales organisation can has
the same company code.

What Siva explained is the business significance and what
you and Rathesh been telling is something which every SAP
Novice would know....

Mr. jai,

you cant assign the reliance info north region (sales org)
to the reliance petrol (company codes),i.e is why a sales
org is uniquely assigned to a company code...

more over sales area is nothi but sale org + dist.ch +div,
where distributuion channel and divison are assigned to the
sales org.only...

NO U CAN'T ASSIGN ONE SALES ORGANISATION TO MANY COMPANY CODE BECAUSE HERE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SALES ORGANISATION AND COMPANY CODE IS MANY TO ONE. THAT MEANS MANY SALES ORG. CAN USE ONLY UNDER ONE COMPANY CODE. OR ONE COMPANY CODE CAN HAVE MULTIPLE SALES ORG.

Hi All,

Relationship between company code and sales orginastion is
one to many,that means one company code can have any number
of sales organisation,and sales org can have many
distribution channels & divisions,

It means that one company code can have many sales area,
I disagree with the explanation given by Mr.Siva,
Reliance petroleum can have no: of sales organisations

What is Sale order processing? Once sale order is created, the processing of S.O means, checking for the materiaal availability using Availability check,shiiping point determination, price determintaion, Back Order processsing, credit check holds removal, but will avaailability check include planned receipts, if planned receipts like prodn order will be considered in Avilability check which is done as Sale order processing, then does it mean that MRP needs to be run for availability check, coz MRP run gives u the qty to be produced and when it needs to be produced. Please clarify.

I have created value contract with order type WK1 in VA41. The target value is 500 USD and the net price is 1000 USD. There was no pop up message or error thrown while saving the contract when the net price exceeded the target value. And the system allowed to save the contract. Is there any configuration available to activate the warning or error message or any enhancement need to be done?
