The link between SD and MM :-

1. When you create sales order in SD, all the details of
the items are copied from Material master of MM.

2. MRP and availibility check related data is also taken
from MM although you control this data in SD also.

3. While you create inbound/outbound delivery with
reference to a sales order,the shipping point determination
takes place with the help of the loading group, plant data,
shipping conditions etc. This also refers to Material
Master.

4. The material which you are entering in a sales order
must be extended to the sales area of your sales
order/customer otherwise you cannot transact with this
material.

There are many such links between SD and MM.

First point - When the order is created & material entered,
the first thing the system does is check if stock is
available.

Second Point - When goods issue is done the stock is
reduced.

These are the primary integration points of SD & MM

Third party orders and STO are the link between SD and MM
While creating the sales order for third party,purchase req
are autmatically generated which are the part of MM.
This configuration is done in Schedule Line.

completely integrated in the entire logistics system. For
example ,on entering a sales order , a dynamic availability
check can be initiated of stock on hand .
5. When a delivery is created ,the quantity to be delivered
is marked as "scheduled for delivery ".It is deducted from
the total stock when the goods issue is posted .
6.It is also possible to create sales order stocks in case
of made-to-order production where the stock is produced
against a specific sales order .

I have created value contract with order type WK1 in VA41. The target value is 500 USD and the net price is 1000 USD. There was no pop up message or error thrown while saving the contract when the net price exceeded the target value. And the system allowed to save the contract. Is there any configuration available to activate the warning or error message or any enhancement need to be done?

Hi Experts, I am an SAP -SD consultant . I have created new enterprise structure. I am able to create a sales order with new enterprise structure but I am receiving an error message during creating delivery T-code: VL01n which says " Material 'XXXXXXXXX' does not exist in storage location plant-'SHIV' Storage location-'KVSK'. I am also receiving another error message like "The storage location is not defined for delivery item 00010". How to resolve this issues? How to make my storage location work for my new Ent Structure? What are the settings required to make items picked for delivery in TRansfer order t-code : LT03.Please provide detailed procedure & neccessary t-codes and explanation (if required) to avoid the above errors. HI GURUS i have 1 problem .my clients wants to sale wastes material,thats why i configure all the process(diff distribution channel,order,del,billing type,etc) i create order>delivery correctly but when i am going to post the doc for pgi it showing a red error massage "business area 1002 does not exist". we never create business area 1002.we use KOLK .In order the system took KOLK but in pgi it showing this error. but again when i am trying to post system allows me to post and took the KOLK automatically. I check all the con and all are correct. what is the reason behind it?how can i solve this problem? If any one can help me Thanks

hi every one, When i am doing PGI in consigment fillup,an error is showing,that is "Deficit of SL Unrestricted use 100ea:730 (mat number)ZPB1(Plant)LS1(storage location). I had mainten special stock in mb1c ie. movement type 561w. and in metarial my basic unit is ea and saleing unit is box and 1 ea.= 1 box. Hope that i can clarify my problem properly. kindly help me out...
