for constant power and terminal voltage ,if power factor is low current drawn is more ,so more lose ocour ,regulation is poor, conductor size increased than with high power factor

Power factor is imp bcoz....ex: If we have an panel that
will give the o/p of 300KW but if we dont maintain the
powerfactor by using APFCR it will give the o/p of 240KW
only....by maintain the powerfactor by using the APFCR we
can get (0.98%)....power factor means something lagging and
leading in power due to harmonics...
