since, power will always be the same so power at LT side should be equal to HT side...
5000*440= I*11000
so.. I= 200AMP at the HT side

the voltage ratio of HT< is 25:1 (11kv/44ov) then current ratio is inversly ie 1:25 if LT current is 5000 amp then HT current is 5000/25=200 amp. we get same answer by apply any method of calculate the current.

use your KVA formula. The va of your load is
root3 X 440 V X 5000= 3810511VA
SO AT 11KV SIDE IS
3810511/1.732 / 11000 =200 AMPS

iii) A shunt motor runs at 70 rad/sec from a 460V supply and takes in an armature current of 100A. Resistors of 2.52 ohms and 1.64 ohms are connected in series with the armature and in parallel with the armature respectively. The field excitation remains direct from the 460V supply but the generated torque is halved. Determine the new running speed. Neglect brush voltage drop. The armature resistance is 0.4 ohms. [15]
