transformer doesnt?

In induction motor the field is developed in rotational
direction i.e. since tha motor is circular in shape the
field also developed in rotational direction( design is
like that ). So the rotor follows the magnetic field and
rotation occurs.
But, in transformer there is no circular field is
developed. induction occurs from primary to secondary. so
no rotation takes place in transformer.
i dont know u got or not :P
simply speaking ..... in motor the magnets are placed which
forms a circle (stator).... so field also produces in
circular direction ... rotor follows the path and
rotates.....
in tranformer this not happend because field is not
circular here.

the displacement angle between the coils (windings) are
different both in tranfmr and motor to produce required
torque the displacement angle should be 360/n n>no of phases

a transformer doesnt have a concentic winding so a 3 phase
supply in a transformer doesnt produce a rotating magnetic
field , however the 3 phase windings in a induction motor
develop a rotating magnetic field and hnce a rotational
torque is produced in an induction motor .

IN AN INDUCTION MOTOR THERE IS SLIP BETWEEN STATOR AND THE ROTOR DUE TO WHICH A TORQUE IS DEVELOPED (DUE TO ROTATING FLUX) WHICH IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ROTATION, THERE IS NO SUCH SLIP IN TRANSFORMER BECAUSE OF WHICH THERE IS NO ROTATION..
