It will act as short circuit, bcoz the rate of change of
flux will induce voltage in sec, whereas in Dc there is no
such phenomenon ..R=V/I..if V=0 R=0/i ultimately R=0......It
nay tend the transformer to overheat ...

Due to the high short circuit current (110KV/0 ohms) the
primary winding will burn..

Answer / vasudeva rao
according to the faraday emf is developed in the winding
when there is a rate of change of flux is present.
(E=dΦ/dt ) i.e time variant flux is present. but in d.c
current is constant i.e time invariant. here flux is
constant. so differentiation of constant is zero. i.e
dΦ/dt=0. i.e e=0.
it means winding gets serious short circuit.

Answer / mohammad saber
for any dc value the the transformer insulator will ichrist
because of the direct current ,and as we know the
transformer operation theory work on the the alternating
current generate the mutual between the transformer windings

Answer / prabhakar
since the primary winding is of thin guage with large no.
of turns as compared to its secondary winding i.e.,the
resistance of the primary winding will be more and so that
no more short circuit happens with the winding and
eventually no more secondary voltage appears at the
secondary.(as per the basic of transformer principle)

1. The DC generaror,s induced output emf is connected with a DC motor(as load). when increasing the load of the motor by using brake drum or any way. what are the parameters will changes in both motor and generator(voltage, current, resistance, frequency, speed, torque, power, flux etc...) 2. Similarly for AC generator and AC motor 3. similarly if using DC batteries instead of DC generator, What happens?
