generator is a highly investment equipment which should be
protected from the faults conditions and sudden changes in
the load and increase in the voltage abruptly when earthing
is given if forms a closed loop the currents take grounded
direction

Ideally, the neutral point of a 3 phase star connected
generator is zero. As a means of protection of the
generator (stator and rotor windings)the neutral point is
grounded in order that inbalance of voltage between the
phases due to faulty conditions will be sent to ground. This
is to avoid breakdown of stator or rotor windings
insulation, or even severe burn of windings.

IN 500 KVA TRANSFORMER 11KV/415 VOLTS HOW TO CALCULATE THE HT CABLE SIZE AND LT CABLE SIZE FROM TRANSFORMER TO LT PANNEL. AND HOW MANY MAINSWITCHES OR MCBS WITH RATING ARE TO BE PROVIDED
What is difference and reason b/w -48V BTS system and 24 V BTS system. Plzzzzzzzzz tel me.
22kV HT incoming should be 3 phase or 4 phase? why is it not 4 phase?
For polarity test on a 11/3.3kV 2.5MVA delta-star Unit Auxiliary transformer,415V 3-phase supply was applied at the HV. Connection between Aa was made with a 2.5mm cable. As soon as power was switched on the cable caught fire and burnt. This test was then abandoned. It is noteworthy to say that a similar cable was also used in a similar transformer for the same. The cable did not burn and test was successfully completed with good result. What is wrong? Please, help me out.
