Water absorption of brick is nothing but the % of water
that the brick can absorbs when it is placed in water.
It isshould not be more that 15 to 20 % of its weight.

and also poor compaction ,
well burnt bricks it should be burnt on all sides equally
good shape also all dimensions should be in proper and
clear

As per IS:3495,the average water absorption shall not be
more than 20 persent by weight upto class 12.5 and 15
persent by weight for higher classes in 24hrs.Bricks,which
