Standard Purch org is used in Pipeline procurement,
consignment and Stock transfer
process.

This helps when a single plant is assigned to many
purchase organization. In such
scenario one of the Purchasing Organization can be
defined as Standard Purchasing Org.

In case of Consignment and Stock transfer process, system
does the source determination
automatically with the help of Standard Purchase Org.

In case of Pipeline procurement Info record created for
Standard Pruch org is used for
issue of material.

you can define std purchase organisation in IMG-Enterprise-definition-MM-define purchase organisation.
you can assign purchase organisation in IMG-enterprise-assignment-material management-assign std purchase organisation to plants.

If several purchasing organisations procure for a certain
plant,you can define one of the as standard purchasing
organisation for the transactionpipe line ,consignment ,and
stock transsfer.In the source detemination process for
stock transfers and consignment the system then
automatically pulls this standard purchasing
organisation.In the case of goods issues of comnsignment ,
pipe line materals , the purchasing infor records of the
standard purchasing organisation are read.These purchasing
info records of the standard purchasing organisations are
like wise applied to valuate the receipt when a po is
automatically created through a goods receipt posting.
