u can insure one or more than one materials to one original
material, but u can select one at a time.

if u give a mat m1 in a sales order, it will replace with
another mat m2.
with 2 materials we cannot swap.
but with the help of user exits we can do it.this function
is widely used in automotive components

(ovrq).
If u want to replace main item with the substitute item by

In material determination how you configure the system should propose when product A is not available then only system substitute with product B. If A is available 60% quantity. How do you do in the situation?
