SAP Netweaver is a stack of four components:
People Integration: It interacts with the user directly
like portal,multiple channel access,collaboration
Information Integration: It is used to hold the datas or
its a repository like MDM,Knowledge Management,BI
Process Integration: It is middleware to transport messages
between the systems. It is hidden from the users point of
view like PI/XI
Application Platform: It contains Java and ABAP as the base
for creating an application. Then DB and OS abstraction, it

Plese refer to the question where I have xplained about
what is Netweaver.
In short XI, WP, BW, BPM, MDM, KM, Collaboration are all
sub-components in SAP Netweaver...you can build application
in them which can run independently or can also talk to
each other.
Using WebDynpro you can create application which could run
on SAP Enterprise Portal or Handheld devices like PDS,
Mobiles, etc.
WebDynpro follows the MVC architecture and its used for
creating application with user interfaces.
