why is netweaver known by XI,EP,BSP,WEBDYNPRO etc... what
are these, are they embedded in NETWEAVER ?

SAP Netweaver is a stack of four components:
People Integration: It interacts with the user directly
like portal,multiple channel access,collaboration
Information Integration: It is used to hold the datas or
its a repository like MDM,Knowledge Management,BI
Process Integration: It is middleware to transport messages
between the systems. It is hidden from the users point of
view like PI/XI
Application Platform: It contains Java and ABAP as the base
for creating an application. Then DB and OS abstraction, it
is hidden from the user.
