why is netweaver known by XI,EP,BSP,WEBDYNPRO etc... what
are these, are they embedded in NETWEAVER ?

Plese refer to the question where I have xplained about
what is Netweaver.
In short XI, WP, BW, BPM, MDM, KM, Collaboration are all
sub-components in SAP Netweaver...you can build application
in them which can run independently or can also talk to
each other.
Using WebDynpro you can create application which could run
on SAP Enterprise Portal or Handheld devices like PDS,
Mobiles, etc.
WebDynpro follows the MVC architecture and its used for
creating application with user interfaces.
