DCS-ITS A CONTROLLER IT HAS PROCESSORS AND MODULE LIKE ANALOG
I/O,DIGITAL I/O,RTD,T/C,VALVE POSITION MODULE ETC
WE CAN CONTROL AND MONITER THE PROCESS.
SCADA- IT ONLY A USED TO MONITOR THE PROCESS &WE CAN CREATE
THE GRAPHICS OF PROCESS SOMETHING.ITS NOT USED ALONE.IT JUST
CONNECTED WITH PLC ETC.
DCS IT SELF CONTAINS SCADA SOFTWARE

THERE IS MAINLY TWO DIFFERENT BEETWIN dcs & scada SYSTEM
1) DCS system it self whole control system & SCADA system required plc for controlling.

2)dcs SYSTEM scan time is nearly 1sec & SCADA with PLC system scan time is in millisecond(depends on program).

3)DCS having Large I/O capacity with respect to SCADA with PLC system.

dcs is a system through which u can connect more than one system to control like HMI, PLC, PDI . scada is a supervisory software through which you can make same to same copy (graphics) of your process plant

PLC'S AND SCADA.SCADA IS THE SYSTEM THAT PROVIDE THE
MONITORING AND CAN PERFORM ONLY PROCESS OUTPUT CONTROL.HENCE
IT IS A SUPERVISORY CONTROL.

DCS : Distributed Control System , to control and monitor process over  plant or a defined limited Area , platforms

SCADA : Supervisory Controlled and Data Acquisition  is a a pecific I/O's  but distributed over a distant , like pipeline thru dessert ,...etc
