How does a 3 phase induction motor is started?..

Answer / hunnsweethitesh007@gmail.com

when the 3 phase supply is given
to the stator of the 3 phase
induction motor the rotatory mag
feild is producd and feild is
cut by the conductor placed at
rotor and emf is induced due to
this curent is flow in cnductor
and it rotates and motor action
take place

How does a 3 phase induction motor is started?..

Answer / rsr

3 phase supply fed to 3 phase stator winding produces rotating magnetic field rotating at synchronous speed. This field cuts the rotor conductors(bars) and according to faraday's law of electromagnetic induction, an emf is induced in the conductors. since the conductors are short circuited by end rings(squirrel cage), thus current stsrts flowing & it produces its own field. now, we have two fields - one produced by stator and other by rotor , the interaction of these two field led to the development of torque in the direction of rotating magnetic field as per the lenz law
