MCB is magnetic or thermal protected over current protection
device. that means if the current flowing through this mcb
exceeds the rating of the mcb it would trip. how fast it
trips depends on how much more than the rated current is
flowing through
ELCB is a device to detect any earth leakage current only.
If the leakage current exceeds the rated current the elcb
would trip off the circuit . The ELCB does not give
protection against overcurrent.

MCB - Miniature circuit breaker:- Which helps to avoid over current or fault current enter into the circuit. It protect the circuits by tripping operation. This is available up to 63A.
ELCB - Earth leakage circuit breaker:- Which helps to avoid the running current enter into the earth by means of tripping operation. This is available up to 63A.

Can anybody tell the formula to calculate temparature rise in the cable with respect to current?
i have 400/230v transformer and didnt done the neutral eatrhing. i connected one lamp to one phase and neutral to the earth. but the lamp is not glowing. again i connected neutral to earth and repeated the same. then the lamp is glowing. in the first condition i tested with a line tester also, at that time the tesrer is glowing what is happening i dont know can any one help me?

In 110V DC supply,if a closed circuit gets open, How can we identify the voltage which is measured after the resistor(4KOhm) which is open with negative.it shows 55V +ve when measured, also the actual positive source is 55V +ve .Because there is no voltage drop in open circuit. How can we identify whether this is the voltage which is series with the resistor or the DC source direct +ve.
