pf tells that how much amount of power delivered by the
source from their total power. in ac ckts it is Cos(q)=p/vi,
ac ckts have v and i both sinosoidal fuction so it comp up
cos q but in electronic ckts cos q never used . so pf=
delevered power/total power , formula used for electronic ckts

It is the measure of how effectively we can consume the electrical energy that totally depends upon the cosine of the angle b/w the voltage and current and this angle become greater than 90 or less than 90 degree depending upon the load that is capacitive load (>90 degree)or the inductive load
(<90 degree)

Grounding. Dear all at one of my site we checked the amps at the earthing cable to the alternator it was found 125 to 130 A. at the neutal cable in same machine found 146A. in the same plant checked the earthing current on other alternator it was 52A, and neutral 116 A. we are facing problems with our controller and the card was damaged once. can that neutral/GND current be a reason? as there is common grounding for the Alternator,Brkr panel,Transformer?
