Configuration means you develop standard configuration as
per standard SAP. You are using available tables, fields
from SAP.

Customization means you add new fields or use User Exits
which is not standard SAP. You need to create Functional
Specification, Technical write up about new changes. You
need to conduct unit and technical test with details of
transports. This is as per client's or business requirements.

Ans-Customizing word is used for Master Data Maintenance
e.g. set up sales organization where you define & assign
Configuration word is used for creating tables, access
sequence, condition type, determination & assigning. E.g.
Pricing Procedure creation where you create all required
tables, condition type etc.

Configuration - It is the process of mapping your business process / requirements with already existing SAP standards i.e. by going in SPRO

Customization - It is the process of mapping ur business process with some changes (as per ur requirement) as against existing in standard SAP & thereby developing your own customized screens / reports i.e. Z reports
