when the receiving end voltage is grater then sending end voltage, this called ferranti effect

due to capacitive effect on the transmission line the
reactive power will be.

Answer / gk
There is no increase of reactive power as such because of
ferranti effect which happens under light load or no-load
situation. Suppose if there is no load, effect of line to
ground capacitance will come into picture. So receiving end
voltage Vr = Vs-(I*jXl)
= Vs-((-Vs/JXc)*JXl) assume I = Vs/(-JXc)
Vr=Vs(1+..)
therefore Vr > Vs under ferranti effect
