Due to ferranti effect which power increases at the
receiving end?active power or reactive power?

There is no increase of reactive power as such because of
ferranti effect which happens under light load or no-load
situation. Suppose if there is no load, effect of line to
ground capacitance will come into picture. So receiving end
voltage Vr = Vs-(I*jXl)
= Vs-((-Vs/JXc)*JXl) assume I = Vs/(-JXc)
Vr=Vs(1+..)
therefore Vr > Vs under ferranti effect
