neutral point shuld be earth for unbalance load mainly.if
its open neutral voltage will be changed according to
load.when load will be unbalanced nuetral voltage will be
increased .its can be harmful for equipment.

this is a dangerous situation. neutral wire will act as a
phase wire in the equipment.
