pile foundation is a type of deep foundation which is used
at low bearing capacity soils such as clay silty sandy
soils to transmite the load of the structure above ground
level so that setliment of struture is minimal. These are
generaly two types, i,e friction pile & End bearing pile.
As per indian standard codes setliment should not be more
than 11mm after test loading

Pile foundation is the type of deep foundation. It transfer
the superstructure load to the hard strata i.e. toe level
of pile foundation. Generally it used where the bearing
capacity of soil is low eg soft soil, water table high area
etc.

pile foundations are one of the types of deep foundations.
they are used in case soft/silty/clayey type of soils.
As in such case of soils going for normal foundations may
not be possible either from economical point of view or may
not be possible at all in case u want to construct near
seashore etc.,
these are the foundations which transfer load to greater
depths, where there is strong strata / load reaching that
point is minimal.
these are pipe shaped, we have different types of pile
foundations.

pile foundation is a type of deep foundation used in a case
of silty, soft and clayey soils which are driven or hammered
through the soil to a considerable hard strata beneath soil
surfaces and transmitting top and minimal loads of super
structures into the ground. These are generally used where
soil is not having good bearing capacity at lower depths or
is not at all present at lower depths as in the case of
houses constructed over submerged area.

carees the load from the structure and distributed
uniformaly to the ground. Exspecialy in seashore side it
resist the uneven settlement in structure
