A meaning of pid controleer is propotional integral
derivatives.
in general, it is related to field parameters which comes
in dcs system and for this all parameters such as
flow,temperature,level,etc, we have to fine tuning to all
parameters ,so they will be set in dcs system and also
operate the field insrument as per the requirement of the
plant.
its basically control feedback parameters.

PID controller is used for control of any process parameter
in all types of Industries.PID stands for
Proportional,Integral and Derivative.A basic controller
comprises of three components i.e Process variable ,
setpoint and final control output.
There are many types of controllers such as cascade ,
remote set point,feed back , feed forward etc.
Proportional = 100 / xP ( unitless)
xP = gain
Gain = change of output/change of input ( unitless)
Integral : the time taken in seconds for a process variable
to travel one proportional band is called as integral value.
( unit seconds)
Derivative : rate of chage of output is called as
derivative (unit seconds)

PIDcotrol is mostly prefered in industries for process
control.it have three elements proportional,integral,diff,p
element is used to produce the contol o/pbased on present
error i/p,integral is used to avoid offset,derivative is
used for change in error i/p.pid has the advantages of all
three elements

If a flow transmitter (magnetic type FT) that can measure flow and temperature, then why in some industries people use flow transmitter and temperature transmitter in the same line 1 after another? Even after 1 single flow FT is capable of measuring flow as well as temperature.
