Your question suggest you are using a "Differential Pressure
Transmitter" in which case since the -10 Bar vacuum is
applied to both the Hi and Low legs the -10 Bar vacuum is
neutral the Transmitter
In that case we merely multiply the distance (850 mm) x (.73
SG) = 620.5

If you installed the remote seal transmitter at flanges,
then in case empty tank /vessel, the transmitter will
showing -mA. so do the followings:
1. Make transmitter 4 mA in this case(without any pressure,
only lower low leg remote seal pressure acting)
2. Apply 850 x 0.73 =620.5 mm of water to high side of
transmitter flange and set transmitter out put 20 mA.

close the both hp and lp iso valve(so that any pressure
should not act on tx diaphragm). now measure the input
pressure in mm by connecting hand communicator to tx.. this
is the LRV.now measure span(ie here it is 850mm).multiply
span with liquid density(ie 850*0.73).we will get 620.5.

when an eddy current probe is installed inside of a turbine or compressor in case of probe problem same as:crash of head of probe, changing the scale factor because of low measuring gap(physical gap is ok(example=1.14mm)but voltage is reduced(example=-6 volts),is any way to check the probe, when the ohm of probe is ok.thank you,(Karim Tavakoli)
Steve said that "An eddy-current probe works by passing an alternating current through a coil of wire and measuring the coil’s impedance" while we are using -24 Volt DC , So I am confused about DC and AC. Plz .
