corona loss is less in dc when compared to ac. corona loss
is more in case of ac. because it is more predominant in
extra high voltage transmission lines.

f= supply frequency
$= air density correction factor
Vp = operating voltage
Vo= critical disprutive voltage
r= radius of conductor
d= distance of separation for fine weather

now for dc f=0 then a certain power loss by corona but less then ac corona loss.

IF we have 500kva transformer & know the current on HT & LT side, how can we consider for its breaker?
