One third of the full load current of the induction motor

Answer / shivam
actually it depends upon no load losses of machine....if we are talking about ideal machine so there will be zero current because of zero losses...output=input-losses ...here output will be zero...hence whole power will consume to meet no load losses...since this is universal equation so apply with every machine

Answer / kanhaiya sharma
the no load current 2 to 5% of the full load current
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 1 Yes | 3 No |
Answer / ashwin
It primarily depends on the type of the motor (whether it is Ac (synchronous or induction)or DC motor) and then the rating of the motor.

The exciting current of a transformer is non sinusoidal. why?
Which transformer is suitable for 220/11 kV, 60 MVA, distribution , Y-Y or D-Y or Y-D, give comparison for the same.
This is reqd for a 1MW Solar power plant..We have 2DC outputs from the solar panels Connected to 2INVERTOR panels.. Output from invertor is 3ph,280v,500kva,50hz.These are connected to individual ACB.This has to be stepped up to 11KV ,1250KVA SYSTEM.Now can I use (1) one more ACBTO GIVE A COMBINED OUTPUT OF 1000KVA,280V & STEP UP THE OUTPUT BY USING a single two winding 3 ph transformer 11kv/1250kva. or (2)use the two outputs and connect to one three winding transformer of above rating..Pls suggestwith details.
V.c.b and a.c.b difference
i am swathi, b.tech 4th year. In smps(switched mode power supply)we are using diodes, mosfets, igbts for controling of current. And my question is why we did not use thyristors(scr)? it is also act as a switch, then what is the drawback of scr as compared to above transisters> if we use the scr, then what is happening ? plz give reply as soon as possible bcoz i am doing project on smps. plz frnds i want ans for that. if anybody know the ans plz send to my e-mail id /swathi.tadakapally@gmail.com/
