SECONDARY INDEXES ARE USED FOR FAST RETRIEVAL OF DAT FROM THE DB TABLES.

WE CAN CREATE MAXIMUM OF 15 SECONDARY INDEXES.

retrieval, We can create secondary index.

Maximum Limit: 15
Advisable : 6 or 7.

primary keys of a table are defined as primary index.
if it is not sufficient for improve the performance.
we will create secondary indexes.maximum 15 secondary indexes

in sap abap two types of indexes are they supported
1) one is primary index it is automatically created when ever
user create table it contrains combination of primary key fields
2)secondary index can be created user it is combination
of some primary key fields and non primary key fields
there is no limit creation of secondary indexes
try it and make sure maximun less no of indexes are suggests
if more indexs user can not understand which index is used

guys the question is about 2ndry index not about only index..
2ndry index is used to increase the performance for where
condition..and we can create a maximum of 16 2nry indexes..
