2.5 sq.mm copper cable cable can carry the current safely
as per following, however it depends on the length.and
isulation of the cable ,i.e. voltage levels ,for extra
length increase the size.
Up to 20 meters.
1) for single phase,230 volts, 29 amps.,two and three core
cable
2) for three phase 440 volts system 24 qamps. four core
cable, with neutral

2.5 Sqmm cable can with stand upto 25 Amps Pratically. But
how you are calculating please explain it to me clearly.

The answer also depends on the time for which the wire is
carrying the curent.... is it pulsed condition or,
continuous condition....

2000Amps can be carried by 1 sq inch of copper

actually every 1sqmm wire can carry 3ams of current ....
so for 2.5 sqmm it will be 2.5*3=7.5amps

not carry 2000amps man....thnk before u answer ok na..if u
