Answer / yogan
Because of no change in direction and magnitude of the wave
form. so no flux linkage in the secondary coil. Instead
primary coil will burn due to no load impedance.

transformer work on principle of induction, that changing flux
which occur in a.c supply while in dc magnetic flux doesnot
change so no induction occur in secondary

Transformer cannot work on dc supply because dc voltage has
no frequency when we give dc voltage to primary winding
then will not produce e.m.f. and so low resistance cause
high current flow in the primary winding and finally
winding will burn.

Transformer works on the principal of mutual
induction.Transformer cannot work on dc supply because dc
voltage has no frequency. when dc supply give to
transformer then dont produced alternating magnetic flux &
also not cut to secondory winding.by air gap.

transformer not work in dc,it is simply because transformer
deal with frequency, while in dc Freq=0,it will only damage
your transfomer due to low resitnc...

Answer / nadeem ahmad
in simple language, we can say that there is no change in
flux in dc so the x'mer can not work on dc but it can be
opereted on dc if we cange the polarity very fast by any
how.

Transformer works on the principal of mutual induction
just becouse of rate of change of flux n it happence due to
AC it is not possible in DC
