plz tell me about for how many rating (for 500kva)how much
current taken?

Answer / vinayak
ans is kva/1.732*volts
so 500kva/1.732*433 volts = 666.66amps on lv side
and 500kva/1.732*11000v= 26.24 amps on hv side

For 500 kva, It's depend on Voltage,some countryes have
different voltages, according to india,
if ur apply the formula- KVA=1.732x Volt x Amp x 0.8
1kva= 1.39 Amps,
500 kva x 1.39 = 695 Amps.

Answer / kapil
what is .8 doing in the above formula, while the rating is
given in the KVA and not in Kwatt.
the formula is ..KVA=1.732x Volt x Amp
where voltage will be taken as 415 volt. which is very
common in 3 phase motor rating.
this will produce the same answer as above [695 amps]

From where you got all these voltage like 440,415,433.
The simple formulae for calculation of current I, if KVA is
given ;
I = (1000 X VA ) / 1.732 x V
So put your available system voltage and get your answer.

The general formula for a 3-phase power transformer is
given by:
power(KVA)=1.732*V*I*pf.
therefore,depending on the pf under consideration, assuming
a unit power factor,500kva power and input voltage of
11000V we have;
current(I1)= 500KVA/(1.732*11000*1)=26.24Amps.
If the output voltage is 400V, the current will then be:
current(I2)= 500KVA/(1.732*400*1)= 721.7Amps.

Answer / attique ur rehman
the formula for calculating Single Phase Current is
I = 1000 * KVA/Voltage
Formula for calculating Three Phase Current is
I=1000 * KVA/voltage * 1.732
So for 500KVA we can calculate as below
I= 1000 * 500KVA/440 * 1.732 = 656.6Amps (Depending on
Voltage), if the voltage rating is changed your amps will
automatically change
