Earthing is used to shock prevention. It connect all
mettalic parts of our appliances/machines and send leackage
current to earth through low resistance path.
Neutral is used to complete the circuit. It acts parallaly
with live wire.
Every house/factory has own earthing connections. But
neutral is obtained from transformers and is common to all
loads which are supplied by transformers.

EARTHING IS A WAY TO NEUTRALIZE THE EFFECT OF FAULT
CURRENTS PRODUCED DUE TO ANY UNBALANCE IN THE SYSTEM.BUT
NEUTRAL IS USED TO COMPLETE THE CIRCUIT SO THE THE CURRENT
CAN FLOW THROUGH THE LOAD. AT NEUTRAL SUMMATION OF ALL THE
CURRENTS IN TEH SYSTEM IS ZERO.

eatrhing is a obtained only faulty current.
neautral is a using only close the circuit(return current)

Earthing is done to provide a low impedance path for faulty
current to ground to prevent damage to live and equipment.
Neutral complete the circuit enabling equipment to work.
Note: If a proper earthing is done in your premises, in
the event of a break in the neutral, you can have your
equipment working properly. That should not make you
replaced your neutral with earth.

I think earthing is the obsolute zero where as neutral is
the reference zero. This is the basic however usages are
different at different situations.Earthing can also be used
to complete the electrical circuit.
Is This Answer Correct ? | 0 Yes | 0 No |
the earth and neutral are closly related because the
earthing is a electric wire connected to ground to make low
impedance path to avoid hazardous voltage flow through the
circuit(metal parts of electric equipments).in case of
neutral line when we check the wiring circuits and electric
posts neutral lines are also earthed .

EARTHING IS TO PREVENT FROM SHOCK
THE JUNCTION OF THE 3 PHASE IS CALLED NEUTRAL

Answer / amit kumar sharma
There is almost no difference. Neutral & earth works same.
Only switchgear connected acts differently. ELCB works on
leakage of phase to any part of equipment resulting into
grounding, whereas MCB and other protective relays
activates on overload or short circuit on phase neutral
circuit.
