nothing doing...if we give dc supply,o/p will be 24vplts..
if ac,o/p will be 230 volts.if we give ac,motior will run
at const speed.if we give dc,it wil start at 50rpm and
gradully increase 2 160rpm,if it crosses rated rpm winding
will burn will more spark induction takes place..
so dont give ac supply 2 dc motor.be careful

Because of the presence of low resistance in DC motors. The
motor will not with stand the AC current voltage so the
motor burns after working for some desired period.

if dc motor is shunt type, then it will rotate.But, if it is
separately excited dc motor then, the motor will not rotate
due to quick change in its direction per every cycle.

The Motor will run only on the positive side of the Ac
wave .so it will run and stop then run again and stop again.
but if the volume of the AC is high, then the winding will
be burned due to the high frequency exposed to
