The generator in hydroelectric power plant is has low
speed,so the number of poles is high,so diameter is high.so
you placing Vertical position is good to save place.

pole generators r having high diameter and less axial
lengh.as a matter of space it is placed vertically over the
hydro turbine to save the place.

Yes, It will be positioned in Vertical manner.

from dam into its generator Turbine.
