First of all convert 240v(ac) to 24 v (ac) with 100va transformer depending upon the application,then convert 24v AC into 24v dc with diode bridge,with 1A fuse across

To get 24 V from 230 V you can sue power supply units which converts 230 VAC to 24 V DC.

first convert ac into ac by using step down transformer and rectifier diodes and then use IC 7824 voltage regulator to obtain 24v dc.
