A document can be parked to approve from higher authority
and a document can be held if the information is not
available to complete the postings

Hi,First try to understand logic- imagine following-

DOCUMENT ---ISSUE IDENTIFIED---PARK OR HOLD---ISSUE
RESOLVED---THEN POST DOCUMENT...(HOPE THIS FUNDA. IS CLEAR)

So Basically Difference is-
PARK DOC.-
1) Create internally assigned doc no.
2)It can be viewed in Account Display & most imp.is
3)Can be viewed/changed by any user
so park doc.eventually get posted or deleted and creates a
Document no.
(ex.- needs authorization,waiting for
clarification/incomplete info..etc)

HELD DOCUMENT-
1)Create User assigned doc no.(external no)
2)It can not be viewed in A/c Display unlike Park Doc.
3)Most imp...It can't be viewed/changed by other user

park document r those document in which u dont have
authority to post the document , whereas in hold document u
dont have adequate workikg papers, in that case u hv to hold
the document

Holding of document is essential in order to get a correct
information, that means we hold a document for some period
& later we post it as we get full information

Parking of document is essential for authorization
purpose . this is also an incomplete document same as
holding document.

for parking document system generated permanent document

held document:if there are missing of debit or credit
vouchers in a document,that cannot be posted.so up to
receiving of that required voucher we wll post that
document as held.

park document:example:in a company always puchase
transactions will takes place.but if in a particular month
the purchases are increased than the previous months.then
such posting of documents we have to get permission from
higher officals.so up to recieivng of permission those
documents will be parked.

park document are those document that will be done by such
a person who has no knowledge of sap.after that a senior
person check all entries and post tham/delete.


Hold document: for example
if we are working on f-02(general ledger screen) & we are
putting entries.than before going any where we will put
reference & document header text & no. in this way no body
can change or delete our data.

held document ;-when some information is missing out.we can

park document;-in case of authorization needed and any case
of recheck .if it is more then three days it is
automatically posted. it is not wait for any authorization.

Hold document: It is for short term and used when transaction dr or cr is uncertained and generally it is using for external purpose

Ex: Advance from potential customer

parked document: It is for longer period genarally used for internal purpose

Ex: Advance made for employes

We can temporarily park or store this

Document till we get it cleared or store this

parking does not update the account

It is stores the account

FV50 : POST/DELETE
FBV2 : CHANGE
FBV3 : DISPLAY
FBV4 : CHANGE HEADER
FBV5 : DISPLAY CHANGES
FBV6 : REFUSE

Parking of document can change all the parameters in the
voucher where as in hold document only we can change the
amount and date.
