how can partition a cube

Right Click on the cube and select change. Then from the
menu select Extras->Partitioning...
You can only partition the cube before loading any data i.e
empty cube...

After compressing the infocube, we open infocube definition
and selects the partitioning in Extras menu.

You can partition a database using any one of the two
partitioning criteria is calander month or fiscal
year/period. At least one of the two infoobject must be
contained in the infocube.

we can partition the cube by selecting the cube which we
need to partition and context menu---->change
then from the menu bar extras--->partitioning
there should be at least calendar month or fiscal year/period
